Dr. MacKay is the Moral Education Professor (2024 to 2026)
The purpose of this professorship is to promote and encourage outstanding teaching, research, and conferences directly related to moral education. To accomplish this purpose, the Moral Education Professor works to:
*Increase integrity and civility in society by supporting teaching and research that contribute to moral character development and encourage ethical behavior.
*Research principles and practices that promote strong families and help to strengthen marriage covenants and relationship commitments.
*Research and publicize relationships between moral principles and mental health.
*Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and research in areas that will encourage honesty and integrity, and which promote the moral ideals of the university and the Church.
